Designation: Fire & Safety Officer

Location: Surat

Salary Range: 35,000 to 40,000 in hand per month

Responsibilities:

• To ensure that all fire and safety equipment at site are in working condition.

• To ensure a well-defined plan for easy evacuation of people in case of fire outbreak.

• To ensure periodic maintenance of all fire-fighting equipment like fire pumps, sprinkler, smoke detector, fire alarm, hydrant system, water reservoirs, extinguishers, fire hoses etc.

• To ensure all fire-fighting equipment maintenance is carried out as per PPM schedule.

• To enforce safety codes and regulations / guidelines at site.

• To carry out training and awareness of co-workers and other stakeholders at site with regards to general fire safety rules and procedures.

• To implement and ensure proper compliance of the work permit system.

• To identify, investigate and report any form of violation of safety codes at site.

• To evaluate fire risks at site and design mitigation plan.

• To prepare and implement a fire safety & security plan for the building for emergency situations.

• To lead fire prevention, fire protection and firefighting including rescue operations.

• To liaison with statutory authorities and fire departments for permission, licenses and emergency situations.

• To conduct fire mock drills as per statutory guidelines and maintain related records.

• To ensure adherence to company and client policies and SOPs.
